DMCA & Copyright
Last updated: May 2025
ELI6 Movies takes copyright infringement seriously and complies with the Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA) and equivalent international copyright laws.
Important: We do not host content
ELI6 Movies is a search and aggregation interface only. We do not upload, store, host, or distribute any video content. All video streams accessed through our Player page are embedded directly from third-party servers that are entirely outside our control.
If you are a rights holder and wish to have content removed, you should direct your takedown request to the server that is actually hosting the file. Common providers used in embeds include VixSrc, VidSrc, Embed.su, AutoEmbed, and others — each of which has its own DMCA process.
What we can do
While we do not host the content itself, we can remove links or embed references to specific infringing content from our interface upon receiving a valid takedown notice. We will process valid notices promptly.
How to submit a DMCA takedown notice
To request removal of links or embeds pointing to allegedly infringing content, send a written notice to pi_arduino@proton.me containing all of the following:
- Your full legal name, address, telephone number, and email address.
- A description of the copyrighted work you claim has been infringed.
- The specific URL(s) on
eli6movies.vercel.appwhere the allegedly infringing embed or link appears. - A statement that you have a good-faith belief that the use of the material is not authorised by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law.
- A statement, made under penalty of perjury, that the information in your notice is accurate and that you are the copyright owner or authorised to act on the owner's behalf.
- Your electronic or physical signature.
Notices that do not include all of the above may not be acted upon.
Counter-notification
If you believe content was wrongly removed in response to a DMCA notice, you may submit a counter-notification to pi_arduino@proton.me containing:
- Your full legal name, address, telephone number, and email address.
- Identification of the content that was removed and the location where it appeared before removal.
- A statement under penalty of perjury that you have a good-faith belief that the content was removed by mistake or misidentification.
- A statement that you consent to the jurisdiction of the appropriate court.
- Your electronic or physical signature.
Upon receiving a valid counter-notification, we may restore the removed content within 10–14 business days unless the original complainant files a court action.
Repeat infringers
ELI6 Movies will terminate the accounts of users who are found to be repeat infringers.
TMDB content
Movie posters, backdrops, descriptions, and ratings displayed on this site are sourced from The Movie Database (TMDB) under the TMDB API Terms of Use. TMDB data is not owned by ELI6 Movies. DMCA notices relating to TMDB metadata should be directed to TMDB directly.
